Mind Training and the question of Who AM I?
Knowledge of Self came from the ancient wisdom traditions.
Within Yoga, it comes from the wisdom teachings of the Vedic view.
Veda means truth, or knowledge or whole truth/knowledge. This means truth that can withstand a view from any angle and still remain true. Truth is that which never changes. What Veda teaches us is essentially....what we are. It states that individuality IS totality.
In brief, the fundamental tenet of Vedic view is that it's not possible to know anything except what your own personal state of consciousness is able to reveal to you. The outside is due to the inside. There is no actual world out there. The entire 'out there' is a model built by ones own consciousness state at various times and thus it is playing itself out.
Our state of consciousness is to what degree we can remain aware while receiving the maximum number of inputs.
Further, consciousness capacity evolves and devolves depending on the state of conscious awareness.
Consciousness is self referential. Knowledge of the knower, knowing and known in the transcendent state of meditation is itself referencing its totality. As this self referencing is repeated through experiential gnosis it sticks and one begins to recognize that "I am that" and the world etc is cognized and viewed through this clarified and truer lens.
So, being able to expand capacity to handle a maximum number of inputs, transmit and rest in ones conscious aware state of being is mind training.

Sattva Meditation Technique
Sattva Meditation is a powerful and unique practice. It is a mantra based meditation practice. This transcendental meditation technique stems from the time tested Vedantic tradition. This is a comprehensive but simple and effective technique that includes breathwork and a personal bija mantra. When practiced 20 minutes twice a day it can benefit all aspects of one’s life.
Meditation supports and enhances life in a profound way transforming all areas of life. This evolutionary technique is now scientifically proven to balance the brain, reduce stress, eliminate anxiety, ease tension, quell overthinking, regulate blood pressure and up-level cardiovascular health.
At a subtle level, this technique opens the energy currents in the spine, and creates a stable, grounded, yet expansive energetic field for the practitioner.
Practitioners find quickly that they are less reactive, more proactive, mindful and clear, focused and aware, harmonious, peaceful and loving.
At the deepest level this technique is a key to the discovery of the illuminated Self.
Private initiation includes an opening light asana and breath-work session, a detailed discussion on the nature of mind, all information on the structure of the meditation and a ceremonial initiation into the Meditation. During the ceremony you will receive a personal and unique to you mantra that is to be used for a lifetime of personal practice.
There will be weekly check in sessions for 30 minutes for 1-month post initiation. Initial initiation is
2 hours in length.
Please be mindful that you are receiving a technique that is not found anywhere else other than orally through a highly trained teacher and transmitted to that teacher through a lineage of Vedantic master teachers. These are time tested and highly valued techniques that are given to sincere seekers and are meant to be kept private and personal therefore you will be asked to not share the initiation process, ceremony and most importantly your personal mantra that you are given with anyone- lest it then become not your own and personal no longer. (Further discussion on this will be done so there is clarity as to the importance of keeping a mantra personal.) Please be prepared to commit to the adherence of these practices
