
BREATH CLASS
A 5 session offering designed to resource you into system regulation, energy control, mind training and expanded awareness by becoming intimate with your unique relationship to prana and breathing.
Prana means life force energy and Yama means tuning.
Pranayama is the art and practice of attuning to life force energy. This life force energy is the inherent intelligence operating within all manifest reality.
The nature of the manifest world at its most fundamental is energy and the totality vibrating at an energetic level is PRANA.
This is the force of life.
It is reductive and arguably incorrect to convey pranayama as simply ‘breath control’. It is the force which animates and gives vital life giving energy to the vessel body. Prana is not breath. Breath is the synthesis of prana and air.
Prana is the force that is inherent in the breath as energy and it is accessed through breathing.
And thus breath becomes the transportation system between matter and spirit.
In the yogic tradition, the portal to this prana is through the breath. By attuning, accessing and catalyzing the life force energy within the body through the movement and understanding of the flow of the breath, we are able to refine the nervous system and experience vitality and life giving health. We begin to see that life force is transcendent beyond the image of the body and yoga becomes the vehicle to refine and correct the perceptions that pervade the thought mind.
Artfully attuning to the flow of prana allows the veil of illusion and distortion to dissolve and the lens of clarity to be revealed.
By using various breathing techniques as an integral part of your evolutionary practice, you will experience your unique relationship to the depth, rhythm and expansion of breath. You will learn to experience the freedom within movement as the breath cycle becomes the receptivity apparatus for nature to move through you. And you will strengthen your ability to break through dense thought forms that have calcified into self limiting beliefs and conditioned reactions. Pranayama's powerful healing effects on the nervous system allow you to drop into meditation in a more profound way as the breath re-patterns the system to relax. In turn you will naturally be more able to focus, concentrate and expand attention. This is the path to the meditative state of presence awareness.
Practically, by retraining the system to properly breathe and breathe more efficiently, the body and its functionality begin to shift into homeostasis, healing, restoration, rejuvenation and blissful connection.

All sessions are 1.5 hrs, recorded, documented and sent to you for personal reference.
The sessions also include sound and toning as a pathway to relax the system to release stress/ tension. This makes the pranayama practice seamless and connective, as well it is an additional tool you will learn and take with you.
